Refund Policy

Effective Date: August 4, 2026 · Version 1.1

Overview

UseThatApp.com is owned and operated by Centric Engineers, ("Centric Engineers", "UseThatApp", "we", "us", or "our").

UseThatApp operates a marketplace where independent developers ("Developers") offer subscription-based software applications ("Apps") to end users ("Subscribers").

This Refund Policy establishes the platform default refund rules that apply to subscriptions and one-time purchases made through UseThatApp, unless a Developer has published an App-specific refund policy that overrides these defaults.

By making a purchase through UseThatApp, you agree to this Refund Policy and any Developer-specific refund terms disclosed at the time of purchase.

Immediate Access to Digital Services (Consent)

By completing a purchase, the Subscriber acknowledges that access to digital services is provided immediately upon purchase and expressly consents to such immediate delivery.

Platform Default Refund Policy

Unless otherwise stated by the Developer on the App listing or checkout page, the following default refund rules apply:

Daily Subscriptions

  • Non-refundable once access to the App is granted.

Monthly Subscriptions

  • Refunds are eligible only if requested within 48 hours of the initial subscription purchase.
  • Applies only to the first billing period.
  • Renewals are non-refundable.

Annual Subscriptions

  • Refunds are eligible only if requested within 7 calendar days of the initial purchase.
  • Applies only to first-time annual subscriptions.
  • Renewals are non-refundable.

One-Time Purchases

  • Refunds are eligible only if requested within 48 hours of the purchase.
  • One-time purchases do not renew; after the 48-hour window they are non-refundable.
Refund Request Deadline

All refund requests must be submitted within the applicable refund eligibility period:

  • 48 hours for monthly subscriptions (from the initial purchase timestamp)
  • 48 hours for one-time purchases (from the purchase timestamp)
  • 7 calendar days for annual subscriptions (from the initial purchase date)

Refund requests submitted after the applicable time window will not be honored, regardless of usage or circumstances.

Material Use Limitation (Usage Exclusion)

Refunds may be denied if the Subscriber has materially used the App prior to requesting a refund. Material use includes, but is not limited to:

  • Generating, exporting, or downloading outputs, files, reports, or results
  • Accessing premium/restricted features beyond evaluation
  • Repeated or automated usage beyond evaluation purposes
  • Using the App in a manner that indicates continued benefit beyond initial testing

UseThatApp reserves the right to determine whether material use has occurred.

EU and UK Digital Content Waiver

If the Subscriber is located in the European Union or United Kingdom, statutory withdrawal rights for digital content may apply.

By making a purchase on UseThatApp, the Subscriber expressly:

  • Requests immediate access to the digital service upon purchase; and
  • Acknowledges that such immediate access may result in the loss of statutory withdrawal rights, where permitted by applicable law.

Where withdrawal rights cannot be waived under applicable law, refunds will be issued only as required by law.

Availability and Local Consumer Laws

Purchases through UseThatApp are currently available to Subscribers in the United States only. Developers may sell from the countries our onboarding supports.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable local law. Where such mandatory rights apply, refunds will be provided only to the extent required by law.

Except as required by applicable law, all refunds are governed exclusively by this Refund Policy and any applicable Developer-specific refund policy disclosed at the time of purchase.

Subscription Renewals (Non-Refundable)

All subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled prior to the renewal date. Renewal charges are non-refundable.

It is the Subscriber's responsibility to manage subscription cancellations before the renewal date to avoid charges.

Developer-Specific Refund Policies (Override Clause)

Some Apps may be subject to Developer-defined refund policies that differ from UseThatApp's platform default refund rules.

  • Developers may restrict, expand, or eliminate refunds for their Apps.
  • Any Developer-specific refund policy must be clearly disclosed on the App listing page and/or checkout page prior to purchase.
  • Where a Developer's refund policy conflicts with UseThatApp's default refund policy, the Developer's policy controls for that specific App.
  • UseThatApp facilitates enforcement of refund decisions but is not responsible for the substance of Developer-defined refund terms.

By completing a purchase, Subscribers acknowledge and agree to the App-specific refund policy in effect at the time of purchase.

Platform Discretion

Notwithstanding any Developer-specific refund policy, UseThatApp reserves the right to deny, limit, or reverse refunds that violate platform rules, payment processor requirements, or applicable law.

Non-Refundable Situations

Unless expressly allowed under an applicable Developer-specific refund policy, refunds will not be issued for:

  • Failure to cancel prior to a renewal date
  • Partial use or non-use of an App
  • Dissatisfaction based on personal preference or expectations
  • Inability to use the App due to lack of technical skill, device limitations, or compatibility
  • Violations of UseThatApp's Terms of Service
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for abuse, fraud, or misuse
Refund Abuse (Repeat Refund Limitation)

UseThatApp reserves the right to limit or deny refund requests from Subscribers who exhibit patterns of repeated refunds, excessive disputes, chargebacks, or abusive behavior, even if a request otherwise falls within an eligibility window.

Developer Responsibility Disclaimer
  • Apps are developed, maintained, and supported by independent Developers.
  • UseThatApp does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free functionality, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Refund determinations are governed by this Refund Policy and any applicable Developer-specific refund terms.
How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, Subscribers must contact UseThatApp support:

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to payment processor timelines.

Chargebacks

Nothing in this Policy limits your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer. However, most billing issues are resolved faster through our support team, and we encourage you to contact us first.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting UseThatApp support may result in:

  • A review of your account
  • Suspension of access to the disputed App while the dispute is investigated
  • Account restrictions or termination where we find repeated or fraudulent disputes
Policy Modifications

UseThatApp reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to the website or repository.

Governing Law

This Refund Policy and all transactions conducted through UseThatApp are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
