One fee, charged when you get paid — never before. Rates below are read from the same table our billing runs on, so what you see is what gets charged.
Buyers billed outside the US bill at 6.5% and 11.5% + $0.50 — 1.5 points over either rate, the international card cost passed through. Sales tax and VAT are collected from the buyer on top of your price and remitted by us. Taxes are never part of our fee.

Common questions
Are there any other fees?
No. 5% + $0.50 on customers you bring and 10% + $0.50 on customers we bring is the whole fee — plus 2% on either if you turn on the Hosted sign-in add-on. No monthly minimums, no listing fees, no payout fees passed to you, and nothing is ever billed separately.
How do you know who brought the customer?
We charge 10% only when we can show the sale started with us: a purchase through another affiliate's referral link, or through our marketplace checkout. Everything else — your site, your newsletter, your launch post, a plain buy link — is yours at 5%. You don't have to set anything up to get the lower rate. Attribution is per purchase and follows a subscription for life, so a customer you brought renews at your rate.
What is a founding seller?
One of the first 100 sellers to finish Stripe onboarding. Founding sellers keep today's 5% + $0.50 rate for the life of their account — if our rate card ever goes up, theirs doesn't. They also pay no platform fee on their first $1,000 in sales from customers they bring — we cover the card costs too. Sales we bring still bill 10%, which is what pays the affiliates promoting you from day one.
Do my customers have to sign in with UseThatApp?
No. On the base plan every purchase mints a license key — your server validates it with one call, and the checkout redirect carries an order reference so you can link the purchase to your own user. Your auth (Auth0, Clerk, homegrown) stays yours. The Hosted sign-in add-on is the alternative: your login and your license check become the same call, and it covers free tiers too.
Can buyers outside the US purchase?
Yes — buyers in 41 countries, including the US, the EU, Canada, Australia and Japan. An international sale (any non-US billing country) bills 6.5% + $0.50 on customers you bring and 11.5% + $0.50 on customers we bring: the domestic rate plus the international card cost (1.5 points), which is what Lemon Squeezy and Polar add too. EU buyers see VAT-inclusive prices and we remit the VAT under our EU One-Stop-Shop registration. Countries open as their tax registrations land; the UK is next.
Who can sell?
Sellers must be based in the United States: payouts run through Stripe Connect, and onboarding asks for a US identity and bank account. Where your buyers are is a separate question — they can be in any of the 41 open countries. We aren't onboarding sellers outside the US yet.
What happens if a buyer disputes a charge?
We handle it. As merchant of record we receive the chargeback, gather the evidence (we may ask you for usage records), and respond to the card network. If the dispute is lost, the disputed amount and the network's dispute fee come out of that sale's payout — the same exposure you'd carry on your own Stripe account, minus the work. The Developer Terms set this out in section 11.
When do I get paid?
Payouts run automatically through Stripe on a rolling basis. Funds typically reach your bank account within 2–7 business days of a sale.
Can I list a free app?
Yes. Free apps cost nothing to list or run. The fee applies only when a paid transaction occurs.
How do affiliate commissions work?
Join the program to get a referral link, then earn 25% of our whole fee on each referred customer's payments — first purchase and every renewal after it, including the Hosted sign-in add-on fee when the app uses it. Commissions become payable 30 days after the charge and pay out monthly once your balance reaches $25.
